49ers at Cardinals: Time of Play, TV Channel, Odds, Picks, Online Stream, Advertisers, More

The NFC West has failed to live up to expectations that it is one of the best divisions in the NFL. As these two teams meet in Mexico City for Monday Night Football, each team still has the chance to challenge the surprise division chief in Seattle.

The 49ers are on a two-game winning streak, claiming victory over the Chargers last Sunday. The defense is getting healthy and claiming its place among the best defenses in the NFL. While some of the NFL’s other best defenses struggle on the run, the 49ers don’t have the same weakness. The 49ers are holding their opponents to 82.7 yards per game rushing and just 3.4 yards per carry. The passing defense continues to rebound from a series of injuries and is fifth best after the quarterback with a 25% pressure rating. The offense becomes more stable with the presence of Christian McCaffrey and the 49ers look set to make a run in the second half.

The Cardinals come into this game with a little less momentum. I thought the Cardinals had a well-deserved victory last week in a backup quarterback battle against the Los Angeles Rams. They’ll need a little more magic from Colt McCoy, with the Arizona Cardinals ruling out Kyler Murray with a hamstring injury. The 36-year-old quarterback was 3-1 in two seasons when he had to replace Murray, but that defense will be tough to come up against. The good news for the Cardinals is that a player who has the potential to have a major impact on McCoy’s game will dress for tonight’s game. DeAndre Hopkins has been a target machine for the Cardinals since returning from suspension, and while initially questionable with a hamstring injury, he will play for the Cardinals tonight.
