BBC Death in Paradise actor whose ex-wife was in Holby City and Casualty

For many of us, following celebrity romances is guilty pleasure.

First there are the dating rumors, then the photos, followed (sometimes) by a glitzy wedding and an even brighter divorce.

Death in Paradise has returned to our BBC screens this year with an exciting new cast.

Ben Miller in Bridgerton

But fans can’t help but miss some of the old favorites.

Ben Miller starred in the series from the start but left in the third season.

Much to viewers’ delight, he returned for a cameo appearance in Season 10 of this year.

He told Hello at the time, “It was kind of like your school reunion when you all got into the same kind of roles.

“You will find yourself, your family, your friends, all doing the exact same thing. All behaving the exact same way and it was amazing.

“It was awesome. And the scene was really, really beautifully written and handled so well.”

Ben also starred in Bridgerton and appeared in episodes of Doctor Who and The Catherine Tate Show.

But what some Death in Paradise fans might not know about Ben is that he was married to a fairly famous actress for seven years.

Ben was married to Belinda Stewart-Wilson, who played the iconic “Mom of Will” Polly McKenzie in The Inbetweeners.

Belinda Stewart-Wilson, 50, is an actress from London who is best known for her role in The Inbetweeners as Polly McKenzie – aka Will’s mother.

But that’s not the only show you may have seen her on – Belinda has also appeared in nine episodes of Casualty, Miranda, and Holby City.

The couple married in 2004 and had a son named Jackson.

Although they divorced after seven years, their separation was apparently “very friendly”.

You can catch Death in Paradise on BBC One tonight at 9 p.m. ET.
