The Livingston Memorial bereavement and bereavement program provides free bereavement services to the community. Trained grief counselors and volunteer support group leaders provide teletherapy through Zoom to those mourning the death of a loved one.
A new support group for people aged 11 to 14 has been added. Livingston recognizes the value a young teenager receives by sharing their grief experience with their peers. The group provides support, connection and validation that they are not alone. Meetings are held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month via Zoom.
Other virtual bereavement support groups include general bereavement, Mondays from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. h 30 h. There is also general grief support in Spanish. group from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month,
In addition, the Good Grief Club takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday; Young widows and widowers, Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Widows and widowers, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesdays; Survivors of a Suicide Loss, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays; and Mourning Moms, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month.
The Loss of Adult Parents group meets from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month; Teen Grief Support Group for 15 to 18 year olds from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays; and Young Teen Grief Support Group for ages 12 to 15 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
