Buhari minister describes Nigerians as ‘too hungry’ to care about religion, others

  • Minister of State for Labor and Employment, Festus Keyamo has warned that Nigerians will not be swayed by their religious faith in the 2023 general election.

Nigerians will not engage in the politics of religion and faith in the upcoming elections, the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council has said.

Fetus Keyamo noted that citizens across the country are too hungry to be tricked into supporting any particular candidate because of their faith or religion in the upcoming elections.

Speaking during an interview with Channels Television which was monitored by, Keyamo opined that Nigerians are too hungry and are only interested in policies that would tackle the hunger that is ravaging the people.

His words:

“Nigerians are hungry, they want to see how that hunger will be dealt with, not how their Christian or Muslim faiths will be dealt with.

“They want to see our agricultural policies and what Asiwaju did before as Governor of Lagos State, how he has improved Lagos and how he will bring that kind of posterity to Nigeria as a whole.”
