Ex-Holy Cross FB player Damion Baker shot and killed – The Capital Sports Report

At least two former college football players were killed over the July 4 holiday weekend. Former Boise State Broncos player Greg Grimes was fatally shot early Monday morning.

Grimes died in a shooting outside a nightclub in Sacramento, California.

Damion Baker, former Holy Cross Crusaders football player, was also shot and killed. He was 25 years old.

An official cause of death has yet to be announced. However, according to sports website Holy Cross, Baker was shot in a double shootout early Sunday morning in St. Louis, Missouri.

Baker was shot at around 3:14 a.m. local time on Cerre Street. A woman was also shot in the incident.

He was found with gunshot wounds, according to the St. Louis Dispatch.

The investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
