Sadio Mane gives an update on his future at Liverpool

Mohamed Salah would rather stay in the Premier League than go abroad if he leaves Liverpool.

The Egypt international’s contract at Anfield expires in a year and the striker is yet to agree the terms of a new deal. This has led to speculation he could move on, although the Reds would be happy to lose him in a year rather than cash in on him this summer while they have the chance.

And reports have now claimed Salah would have no qualms about joining a Premier League rival if he leaves the Anfield squad. It comes as Christian Vieri has identified Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as the ideal replacement for Sadio Mane.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp’s view on Mane’s potential departure is already clear – following his comments when Philippe Coutinho left the club.

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah could join one of the Reds’ Premier League rivals if he doesn’t sign a new contract at Anfield.

This has led to rumors that Manchester City, Man United or Chelsea could all have the financial muscle to tempt the winger, although it remains to be seen which of their offers he would genuinely consider.

Klopp’s view on Mane clears up

Jurgen Klopp may have warned Sadio Mane against leaving Liverpool – if his past comments are to be believed.

The Reds boss advised Philippe Coutinho not to leave the club when he moved to Barcelona in 2018. He told the Brazilian that ‘they will end up building a statue in your honour’ if Coutinho decides to stay at Liverpool .

But, in a warning which should now perhaps be heeded by Mane, the Reds boss added that if a player moves to Barcelona, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid, ‘you will just be another player’ .
