Manhunt Series 2 start time and cast as drama returns to ITV

The shot ITV The Manhunt drama returns on Monday, September 20, and some familiar faces will return in the real crime-based drama.

Named Manhunt The Night Stalker, Martin Clunes will reprise his role as Chief Detective Inspector Colin Sutton in the new series.

The series is based on Detective Colin Sutton’s Dairy, who helped create the drama, and this series focuses on him solving the case of notorious serial rapist and burglar Delroy Grant.

Known as the Night Stalker throughout the case, which was codenamed Operation Minstead, Delroy targeted elderly people in South East London and was only arrested 17 years after his first assault.

Picking up the first series, where Detective Sutton solved the actual murder of Amélie Delagrange in 2004 which led to finding the same killer of Marsha McDonnell in 2003 and Milly Dowler in 2002, some of the cast will reprise their roles.

When does Manhunt The Night Stalker start?

Manhunt The Night Stalker begins Monday, September 20 on ITV at 9 p.m. ET.

The drama is divided into four parts which will play every night from Monday, September 20 through Thursday, September 23 at 9 p.m. on ITV.

Martin Clunes as Detective Chief Inspector Colin Sutton

Once again playing the role of Chief Detective Inspector Colin Sutton, Martin Clunes will return to star in the drama.

Colin Sutton worked for the London Metropolitan Police for over 30 years and then wrote about his time in his memoir “Manhunt” on which the series is based.

Martin Clunes is known for his beloved role as Doctor Martin in ITV’s Doc Martin and he was awarded an MBE in 2015.

Jude Akuwudike as Delroy Grant

Jude Akuwudike stars as convicted rapist and burglar Delroy Grant, who starred in the BBC’s The A Word and has also appeared on stage, as productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Delroy Grant raped and robbed more than 100 people between 1992 and 2009 and primarily targeted elderly women who lived alone.

Matt Bardock as DS Simon Morgan

Matt Bardock is well known as Jeff in BBC Casualty

Matt Bardock plays the DS Simon Morgan who had already led Operation Minstead for 10 years before the arrival of Colin Sutton.

Known for his role as paramedic Jeff in the BBC’s Casualty, Matt has also appeared in other crime dramas such as A Touch of Frost and The Coroner.

Claudie Blakley as Louise Sutton

Claudie Blakely will play Colin Sutton’s wife and will reprise this role as Louise Sutton.

You might know Claudie as Agatha Redmond in Grantchester and Cynthia Lennon in Lennon Naked.

Louise Sutton herself is in the police force, works as a police analyst, and is concerned about her husband’s intense role in Operation Minstead.

David Witts as DC Adam Spier

Detective with connections and informants on the streets of London, David Witts plays DC Adam Spier.

David is one of the younger cast members of Manhunt The Night Stalker and has previously starred in EastEnders as Joey Branning and he has also worked on stage for productions such as Wicked in the West End.

Bally Gill as DC Jim Corgan

Colin Sutton’s assistant is DC Jim Corgan, played by Bally Gill.

Bally is another younger actor and previously starred in The Royal Shakespeare Company’s Romeo and Juliet as Romeo and in the Netflix series Wanderlust.

Sule Rimi as DS Neville Hilton

DS Neville Hilton, who is played by Sule Rimi, points out flaws in the investigation, such as understaffing, to Colin Sutton.

Sule played Scott in Pink Wall, starred in Death in Paradise and Birds of a Feather, and played Henry Smart in Definitely Not Newsround.

Diveen Henry as DC Patricia Henry

DC Patricia Henry, played by Diveen Henry, works as the Operations Family Liaison Officer and sees all of the terrible effects Delroy Grant left on his victims.

Known for playing Sally Lewis in The Dumping Ground, Diveen has also starred in Law & Order UK and The Bill.

Guy Williams as DCS Hamish Campbell

DCS Hamish Campbell, who reviews Operation Minstead, then enlists Colin Sutton, is played by Guy Williams.

Guy has appeared in Downton Abbey, The Peaky Blinders and Father Brown and played the role of Sir William Stanley in The White Princess.

Manhunt The Night Stalker begins Monday, September 20 on ITV at 9 p.m. and airs nightly through Thursday, September 23.
