More than a dozen events, including the finals of the men’s and women’s 100, 200, 400 and 800 metres, 110 and 400 meters hurdles and the men’s triple jump and women’s shot put will take place at Icahn Stadium.
McLaughlin will do an unusual double, running the women’s 100-metre hurdles and 400-metres, while forgoing the 400-metre hurdles. Her only other appearance in a 100-meter hurdles race was a win at the Penn Relays in April, where she clocked 12.75 seconds in the win.
In the men’s 100 meters, world champion Christian Coleman has the fastest time this season, with a time of 10.04 from his third place finish at the Préfontaine Classic.
Lyles will run the 200 meters for only the third time this year. In May, he clocked 19.86, the fourth fastest in the world. He then ran a wind-assisted 19.72 to win the Diamond League encounter in Doha.
