Living Faith Church
Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine Street, Palmerton (Bowmanstown), holds two services each Sunday with Pastor Rob Timlin. At 8:30 a.m., the contemporary service is followed by Sunday school for all ages at 9:45 a.m., then the traditional service at 11 a.m. You can worship in person or in the parking lot by tuning the radio station to 104.3 FM or Facebook Live.
Every Wednesday at 7 p.m., it’s prayer and praise.
October 18: The Quilt Group will meet at 10 a.m.
Oct. 16, 23 and 30: Impact Youth Group will meet at 7 p.m.
October 19 and 26: Exercise Silver Sisters will meet at 10 a.m. for easy exercise, fun, and worship songs. All women are invited.
October 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. is a fundraising soup social. This event is open to the community. Hoping for 50 pots of homemade soups to serve. We will be asking for a monetary donation at the soup social to benefit CACPAC (Christian Action Council of Palmerton Area Churches). They help needy families in the Palmerton area. A sign up sheet is available at the church or call the church office to attend the soup social.
Operation Christmas Child: This mission brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through shoeboxes full of gifts and the Good News of God’s love.
ABC Food Pantry is available for those who need it. Contact the church office if you need help or want to donate.
The Micah Meal Program meeting the needs of needy students in the Palmerton School District. Check the church website for a list of foods we need.

Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Trachsville, holds Sunday worship in the church grove at 10 a.m. Pastor Marion leads worship.
You can also stay in your vehicle in the parking lot and listen to the service on the 95.5 radio station or watch live on Facebook. The service is also displayed on the website after the service.
Donations for Operation Christmas Child do not need to be put in a shoebox, you can simply donate the items. If you prefer to make a cash donation, you can place a check or envelope in the offering plate and mark it OCC. Examples of acceptable items are small notebooks, pencils, crayons, balls, socks, personal care items, small stuffed animals. Please no food type items, used items, war related items, liquids or lotions. The deadline for donating is November 6.
Holiday filler sale
The Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Trachsville, will be selling containers of homemade filling.

Holy Trinity Lutheran
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton will hold Sunday worship at 10:15 a.m. If you plan to attend, call the church office at 610-826-2525.
If you can’t attend in person, you can register on Zoom. Communion will be served. Don’t forget to bring food for the pantry.
Bible study takes place in the fellowship room on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
Helpers will be needed to help out at the Trick or Treat night to help hand out the treats to the children.
The Palmerton Veterans Day Parade Committee is calling for floats, vendors and participants for the 50th Annual Carbon County Veterans Day Parade to be held in Palmerton November 6 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a rain date of November 13.

Trick or Treat in the borough of Palmerton on October 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. If you would like to participate in this fun event, please turn on your porch light.
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton will open for Trick or Treat fun.
The Palmerton Halloween Parade is October 16 at 4 p.m. and forms at 2:30 p.m. The rain date is October 17 at 7 p.m., forming at 6 p.m.
The 27th Annual Towamensing PTO & Basket Social Craft Fair will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Towamensing Elementary School, 7920 Interchange Road, Lehighton.
They will host over 40 artisans and vendors, a social basket with nearly 100 baskets to choose from, a food sale and a bake sale.
Proceeds benefit the students of Towamensing Elementary.
The FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) will be hosting a Halloween event for children ages 0-11 at Palmerton High School from 4-7 p.m. on October 27. Will organize Halloween activities, games and much more. The cost is $5 per child.
Bethany Wesleyan Church, 457 Delaware Ave., Palmerton is participating in a pajama drive for children ages 0-17 to benefit children in the foster care system.
Rehoboth, BWC’s new home care department, is hosting this campaign. The Pajama Drive is a way to have a practical yet meaningful impact on children’s lives.
You can drop off the pajamas by October 23.
The Carbon Model Railroad Society is sponsoring its Fall Train Meet on November 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Diamond Fire Co. Bingo Hall.
The venue is located at 120 Main Street, Walnutport. This is a model railroad, toy train and railroadiana sale for the serious collector and model railroad and model train enthusiast.
Refreshments are available. Plenty of free parking. Admission. Bring your whole family.
The Palmerton area library will be closed on October 22.
Third Monday Book Club
The Third Monday Book Club will meet on October 17 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. to discuss the book “The Judge’s List” by John Grishan.
November’s book will be “Oil and Marble” by Stephanie Storey. The December book will be “A Dangerous Mourning” by Anne Perry.
The group meets on the third Monday of each month.
