This year’s tournament comes amid the emergence of the LIV breakaway tour, with several players who are believed to be in line to take part this weekend excluded from this PGA event thanks to their involvement with Greg Norman’s start-up.

The international squad (composed of players from the rest of the world outside of Europe and the United States) will miss Open champion Cameron Smith, Chilean star Joaquin Niemann and Mexican Abraham Ancer. The depth of options available for USA captain Davis Love III means his absentees will be less keenly felt, but the team will still be without marquee stars Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau.

The USA squad includes seven players who helped them seal a record Ryder Cup win over Europe last year, with Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay and Collin Morikawa among those featuring. The international team includes Hideki Matsuyama, Adam Scott and Sungjae Im. Follow our guide as we explain how to watch a live stream of the Presidents Cup online right now, so you don’t miss a thing of this prestigious golf tournament.
