Ellwood City, Pennsylvania (February 25, 2022) – The Salvation Army Western PA Division is hiring Camp Allegheny personnel for various positions located in Ellwood City for the 2022 summer season.
Camp Allegheny provides low-cost, Christian-focused camping opportunities for children living in western Pennsylvania.
“We are looking for young adults who want to change lives by creating unforgettable camp experiences for young children across our region! We serve children who desperately need to experience love and acceptance from adults, peers and God,” said Captain Bramwell Applin, Divisional Youth Secretary and Camp Director at the Western PA Division of the Salvation Army. “Our goal is to provide them with an unforgettable week in a safe Christian environment.”
Camp Allegheny staff members exist to model Christ through servant ministry, loving relationships, and unforgettable experiences. As we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, all CDC and American Camp Association safety guidelines will be followed regarding the status of the pandemic this summer.
Positions available include: Senior and Junior Advisors, Music Advisors, Program Specialists and Waterfront Staff, Infirmary, Staff Center, Office and Dining Hall, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Deputy Village Head, Consultant for campers and junior staff coordinator.
Training and certifications can be provided by Lifeguarding, Archery, Riflery, Climbing Wall, ServSafe and First Aid/CPR. Positions may be available as a paid internship opportunity for students.
Staff must be available to work at a residential camp from June 6 to August 6 and must be at least 16 years old depending on the position. The work schedule extends from Monday to Friday, with weekends off. Camp Allegheny is located at 140 Jenkins Circle, Ellwood City, PA 16117.
