The Salvation Army seeks volunteers for its council

review review

The Salvation Army of Montgomery County is looking for dedicated volunteers to serve on the Advisory Board. Council members work together to run the annual Red Kettle campaign, as well as plan other activities throughout the year.

There will be an information meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at New Hope Christian Church, 2746 S. US 231, Crawfordsville. Those interested in learning more about becoming a bellringer are encouraged to attend.

Money raised by the Salvation Army of Montgomery County is used to help people living in the county. Assistance is limited to $200 per person and includes assistance with utilities, food, medicine, transportation, rent, and other similar needs.

Since the beginning of the year, the Salvation Army has helped 75 local people. Funds are currently available for those in need and can be requested by calling The Salvation Army through their New Hope Church office at 765-362-0098.
