Turkish mosque; George Floyd Birthday

(RNS) – Each week, Religion News Service features a photo gallery of religious expressions from around the world. This week’s photo gallery includes the completion of a new Turkish mosque in Istanbul, the anniversary of George Floyd’s murder and more.

The Towne View Baptist Shrine has been revamped due to COVID-19, moving from wide rows to those smaller sections that allow for social distancing while being in the same worship space.  RNS submitted a photo of Jeremy Hall, Associate Pastor of Faith Development at Towne View Baptist Church

At Towne View Baptist Church in Kennesaw, Georgia, tables that can accommodate small groups have replaced the usual wide rows of seating in the shrine to allow for social distancing during worship. RNS submitted a photo of Jeremy Hall, Associate Pastor for Faith Development at Towne View Baptist.
